Blueswan

"Blueswan" is a study of the emotion of dance. When witnessed live, dance is a powerful experience. You feel what the dancer is feeling. Somehow, often, when dance is captured on video, turned into two-dimensional, the experience gets altered. The dancer, the subject becomes the object. Blueswan attempts to recapture, to better express the dynamism, the explosion of energy. An attempt to visualize what it feels like. 

The work is created by using Stable Warpfusion on a series of raw video clips, edited together. The music is played on an Arturia Microfreak synthesizer, filtered through analog guitar effect pedals, adding a regular pulse to the movement.

Nestled in a plush corner, you feel the textures of soft fabrics and natural elements harmonize, creating a sense of grounded comfort. This inviting space, a fusion of artistic expression and tranquility, serves as a perfect escape for peaceful daydreams and quiet reflection.


‘Just browsing... but now I'm trapped’

The minimalist, almost sterile interior of the store, with its neatly arranged racks and shelves, initially feels calm and straightforward. However, as you delve deeper, the atmosphere subtly shifts —the store that once seemed so ordinary begins to feel like a maze, where the exit is elusive. This work captures the paradox of modern shopping: a place where endless choices can sometimes feel like a trap, turning what should be a quick visit into a complex, unending journey.

When I created this piece, I envisioned a journey through a corridor where the warm light and the arrangement of elements work together to create a calming yet enigmatic atmosphere. This work captures that overwhelming feeling when a home renovation seems to stretch on forever, with no end in sight.
