Collective Constructs explores c0ok3d’s interest in how identity is continuously shaped by the structures we inhabit—urban landscapes, digital spaces, and social systems. Through layered, dreamlike animations, the series reflects on how these environments influence the way we present ourselves, and how we’re perceived by others.
Blending symbolic imagery with surreal motion, Collective Constructs investigates the tension between individuality and conformity. Figures dissolve into architecture, movement becomes patterned, and presence feels both observed and obscured. In digital realms—much like in cities—we are often performing identity, adapting to the interfaces around us.
At its core, the series questions what it means to locate the self within systems designed to both connect and contain us.
