About the artwork
All monitors display the same window with a red “Warning” banner, but the logic isn’t in the message itself — it’s in how often it appears. I linked the “alert” trigger to a motion sensor: if someone stays in the camera’s field of view for more than five seconds, the system issues a new warning, quietly confirming that we’re still alive. Officially, it’s anti-burnout lighting; unofficially, it’s a shared act of breathing, translated into interface. It’s oddly touching to watch visitors start shifting more, just to keep the screens from going silent. What emerges is a kind of coworking heartbeat, where every flash of danger becomes a way to say: we’re still here.
