The light of a narrow corridor catches you mid-step: reflections instantly multiply your movement, as if everything here had been waiting for your gesture. A warm stream of air briefly gives your figure a confident volume, but the frame abruptly shifts perspective, the mirror fogs over, and the air slips out — what seemed like your own shape contracts into a thin membrane. The same hands that guided you in now gently push you out, making room for the next face. What remains is the dry rustle of a spotlight and a short pause — just long enough to notice how quickly any nameplate shifts to someone else’s.
