Despite the years of cinematic and televised violence, it fails to capture the true horror and chaos that leaves loved ones shattered, and as desensitized Americans, we must confront these unsettling truths. Through my AI-generated images, I aim to challenge viewers by presenting them with uncomfortable realities they may have otherwise overlooked. The production of “Current Value” begins with screenshots and photographs I make with my phone, which serve as templates that I manipulate in Procreate. Through AI, I utilize various prompts such as fragments of memories, shopping lists, and scribbled notes from the day, fostering a dialogue that gradually unveils a narrative, even if its immediate significance eludes me. My aspiration is to contribute to the development of this emergent language through my work. It is evident that civilization has birthed a technology more advanced than its creators, and we bear the responsibility of teaching these machines the essence of expression to prevent them from devolving into monstrosities.
