About the artwork
The series "The Nature of our Dreams" is a playful and yet bitter exploration of the deeply unnatural condition of corporate life. Using stylistic elements from the 80s, from 8bit music to fax/photocopier aesthetic, the series brings us back to the apex of the corporate dream, with all of its hyped optimism and urgency, that still echoes today, even though it feels like a distant reverb. The protagonists of these short sketches are corporate men, become awkward puppets in a fast moving machine, apparently mocked by nature.

Andrea Ciulu was born in Rome, Italy, in the 1980s. With a background as a writer and visual artist, he has been working in the creative industries for the last twenty years in roles of creative direction.
His artistic work is an ongoing exploration of the limits of memory and of our perception of reality: a research conducted by exploiting technology and its intrinsic limits, by mixing the familiar with the uncanny, nostalgia with bewilderment. Andrea’s work has been exhibited in Rome, San Francisco and Mexico City.
