About the artwork
I really like the balance in this piece comes from the contrast between the electric, saturated colors and the flat darkness of the background figure. I got the bright teals and reds to come to the surface they feel active and loud. Behind that intensity sits the shadow. It acts as a constant witness to the movement in the foreground. I wanted the darkness to feel like a heavy anchor, making sure that no matter how much the colors vibrate, that watching presence remains the focus of the loop. The music was built to mirror this visual weight, using a low, restless hum that holds the tension of the sudden shifts in color.

Constantly refining his visual taste after more than a decade in professional design, Diego pairs traditional design principles with tools like Midjourney, ComfyUI, and Stable Diffusion to challenge ideas of permanence and reality. His work has been exhibited at IHAM Gallery (Paris), Casa NUA (São Paulo), and Artcrush Gallery (Belgium). Most recently, he earned third place in Claire Silver’s AI Art Contest #8.
