As an artist with a strong background in choreography and performance art, I explore the essence of movement as an algorithm, marrying my knowledge in physical performance with the intricacies of code. This dynamic interplay across mediums allows for a continual flow of ideas, influencing the conception and implementation of movement across both my IRL performances and my digital works.

Through this series of works, the simulated characters come to life fully immersed in a perpetual dance, their movements fluid and dynamic, invite the viewer to actively engage. The scenes play out as vivid manifestations of never-ending motion, set against environments reminiscent of site-specific performances.

With this body of work, I embark on a dual journey. Initially, these pieces serve as preliminary sketches, laying the foundation for future live performance and video installations. Secondly, I inquire but also embrace the intricate ways in which Ai understands, perceives and interprets movement.

The Desert might be the last place you'd expect to find a whale. Here, the whale reaches its most desperate stage in its search for connection. The video begins with a school of fish that transforms into a murmuration of birds, perfectly synchronized in their movement. Each bird in a murmuration follows its seven closest neighbors and ignores the rest. 

The whale then encounters a desolate landscape: uninhabited hotels with “No wifi” No signal, internet-free signs, empty roads, and telephone poles and power lines stretching endlessly into the distance. The heat and isolation of the desert can induce hallucinations, and it's here that the whale finds dancing whale and animal bones.

‘Just browsing... but now I'm trapped’

The minimalist, almost sterile interior of the store, with its neatly arranged racks and shelves, initially feels calm and straightforward. However, as you delve deeper, the atmosphere subtly shifts —the store that once seemed so ordinary begins to feel like a maze, where the exit is elusive. This work captures the paradox of modern shopping: a place where endless choices can sometimes feel like a trap, turning what should be a quick visit into a complex, unending journey.
