About the artwork
Ostreolith's genesis occurs in coastal regions where oyster colonies and mineral-rich substrates converge. Over centuries, the slow mineralization of organic matter within oyster shells undergoes a transformative process, blending with mineral present in the surrounding environment. The result is a gradual crystallization.

Emilia Trevisani is a visual artist based in Italy. For several years she worked as a journalist and videomaker, and began experimenting with new media art in 2020. A self-taught path through programming language, 3D scan, AI and generative art tools has led her to find a new voice to describe the world within and around her. Her investigation with AI mostly focuses on mutation status, inner visions, lucid dreams and little epiphanies.
