About the artwork
Unlike traditional plants that rely on sunlight for photosynthesis, Quartzmycelia Lunar absorb moonlight through their crystals. This process, called "lunar photosynthesis," enables the plant to convert moonlight into energy, sustaining its growth and allowing it to flourish during the night.

Emilia Trevisani is a visual artist based in Italy. For several years she worked as a journalist and videomaker, and began experimenting with new media art in 2020. A self-taught path through programming language, 3D scan, AI and generative art tools has led her to find a new voice to describe the world within and around her. Her investigation with AI mostly focuses on mutation status, inner visions, lucid dreams and little epiphanies.
