About the artwork

Under the cloak of night in medieval Strasbourg, the Strange History Channel unveils a journey into terror with "The Dancing Plague of 1518." Partially based on a true story, the villagers of Strasbourg were driven to dance in an endless frenzy. In our telling, however, Lady Gaga orchestrates the macabre ballet, her sinister influence weaving through the town via ergot-tainted waters. Fusing historical intrigue with elements of gothic horror and a music video, this episode blurs the lines between documentary and dark fantasy. About the artist

Historic_Crypto

Historic_Crypto "HC" is an AI artist based on the East Coast, USA. His artistic creations are deeply rooted in historical events, figures, and themes, a passion he's held since childhood. Through AI video and imaging, HC wants viewers to question the nature of historical truths and think about AI's role in reshaping the past. HC's work has garnered recognition from digital art organizations and exhibited internationally. Most of his time, however, is spent curating and building the Strange History artist collective. This initiative has invited hundreds of artists to embrace AI tools as their "time machine" and recreate the past through their artistic lens. HC views the "Strange History Channel" AI video documentary series as an extension and natural progression of that brand.
