What does it mean to 'see' in a world where perception is not exclusively a human attribute, but also an artificial capability?
‘Optic Nerve’ at its core, is a digital concord, a convergence of pixels and algorithms that embody the pathways of vision and perception. The iris perpetually reconstructs, becoming a living entity, a witness. It is an optic nerve not just transmitting visuals, but constantly adjusting, focusing, and redefining its vision. It is ever-evolving, ever-expanding, and endlessly curious.

Katie Morris is a Scottish artist currently based in Glasgow, UK, pursuing an honors degree in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, a renowned institution in the United Kingdom. Morris's practice is characterized by combining traditional techniques with contemporary technology.
She explores the human experience with a keen focus on unraveling the relationship between technology, creativity, and contemporary life through a diverse range of mediums that allow her to navigate surrealism and venture into the subconscious mind, transcending the extremities of reality.
