About the artwork

An anti-AI parody of the infamous “You Wouldn't Steal a Car” anti-piracy advertisement from the early 2000s. Using satire, the cyclical nature of societal fears surrounding technology is explored. The irony of the video lies in its juxtaposition of past and present fears of technological advancements. Just as the original ad was criticised for its overly dramatic portrayal of digital piracy, the parody points out the hyperbole in current anti-AI views. Music by Epidemic Sound
