August 2nd, 2023 It was a very slow day at my job so I cracked open a tab on Runway ML.
After some playing around I landed on a prompt that was giving me INSANE results.
All from just adding a single word to the prompt.
that word was "CLUSTER" (in ALL CAPS).
I ran a few hundred generations of 4-second clips that day at work -- all with variations of the prompt "A CLUSTER OF MOUTHS WITH MOVING TEETH" -- for example a variation might be "A CLUSTER OF MOUTHS WITH MOVING TEETH SCREAMING IN AGONY" or "A CLUSTER OF MOUTHS WITH MOVING TEETH EATING TONGUES AND SCREAMING IN AGONY" -- simple & direct -- nothing fancy.
I loved the footage so much that immediately after work I went to a cafe around the corner and edited together this video in a state of hyper-caffeinated psychosis -- headphones on but audibly laughing aloud at the madness unfolding in front of me. When I was finished I posted it straight away on the LEGIO_X twitter for my audience of dozens.
Not long after I made this video Runway changed out their entire model -- so you can't achieve these kinds of results anymore -- or maybe someone out there can -- but I definitely can't. This was a prime example of "catching lightning in a bottle". length: 2:18
