A Daily.xyz artist often tells me "Make it green!". I tend to make brown art, rusty or slimy. Brown is honest, earthy. Green is fragile. This creature here makes an attempt at honesty by proudly displaying its insides for you. I still don't trust it. Despite its bold coloration, it will still glide across my floor at night and eat the Pringle's Brand Potato Snack Curved Wafers that I've hidden under my bed. Why do I hide them? And isn't that just asking for trouble when a multicolored molluscoid is creeping about? I hide them because my wife doesn't like them AND she thinks I should cut down on salt. This is because I'm old and maybe a little heavier than I should be. But I'm pretty tall, so it evens out. I think. But that telltale cylindrical packaging would be spotted immediately. So I grab an old teeshirt (Right now it's that Ministry "Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" shirt that I got in the early 1990's. You know, the skull X-ray one) and tie the arm holes and neck holes. Then I dump an entire tube of Pringle's Brand Potatoesque Slices into the teeshirt/bag and throw them all under my bed. See? Now it just looks like an old teeshirt. Not Pringle's Brand Uniform Tuber Laminations. But the rainbow sluggy (seen here) eats them in the night. So no, I don't trust it. Not at all. That it's green makes no difference. I say that, but I know that if it was brown instead there would be NO ISSUE with it eating my Pringle's Brand Tasteless Stackable Salt Slabs. So I hope you enjoy this vid.

If you have the tools to create any image you want, why would you just want to regurgitate the same art styles you've been force fed for your whole life? If you can tweak your output -- sometimes mathematically, as in "face minus eyes" or "goat plus eyes" -- to build something impossible in nature, why wouldn't you? Yet there are artists TODAY who make Impressionist art ("the filthy thieves with their forger's tools. No originality, so they have to steal!"). It doesn't have to be that way. A hundred years ago an Italian poet, FT Marinetti, wrote words so powerful they inspired painters and musicians. Dada poet Tristan Tzara inspired painters, sculptors, and photographers. Surrealist poet Bréton inspired all of the above plus filmmakers. Today's AI prompters are the poets of the day, using words to inspire visuals.
Mordunkus (because why not third person?) uses AI tools to bring you images unlike those you've seen before: abstract and surreal videos that often tickle your visceral sensibilities. Maybe it looks like a colonoscopy video with plants and machinery? Or is that a face? A chicken foot? Heavy on the WTF, Mordunkus does NOT Want to show you the same old thing. And almost to contradict that last sentence, the vision behind the images has been consistent over the [past two or three] years even as the tools have changed.
But is it "Art"? Marcel Duchamp answered that question already: who cares?
