This stage represent the initial state of overwhelming stimuli and the complexity of modern urban life. Adaptive perceptions in this context would involve recognizing and making sense of the chaos, highlighting the ability to perceive and navigate through complex environments. It is through this complexity where random patterns form as an ever changing loop of perpetrual motion. It is throug this chaotic movement that a catlyst will form. People adapt to the complexities of urban life, finding order within chaos, and how this dynamic environment can lead to transformative changes.
The perpetual motion of the city fosters resilience and creativity, as people learn to thrive amid unpredictability. It is the interplay between chaos and order, between stimulus and response, that underscores the transformative power of adaptive perception.

0009 - American Artist/Designer Chris Maestas (b.1984) has been deeply immersed in the urban environment of Los Angeles since his days as a graffiti writer and skateboarder in the 1990s. His work spans various mediums, including acrylic, oil-based enamel, spray paint, 3D and digital art: most recently focusing on generative AI processes to explore new avenues of creativity.
Inspired by the beauty of graffiti art and 90s street culture, Chris's AI artworks often depict city scenes of disruptive and rebellious energy reminiscent of punk and avant-garde movements, adapted to the digital age. His artwork has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, and Europe.
