Afrofuturism is a cultural movement that intertwines elements of science fiction, technology, and African culture to re-examine and re-imagine the experiences of Black people. It highlights the use of speculative fiction and technological themes as a means to understand and articulate the Black experience. Through various forms of expression like art, music, and philosophy, Afrofuturism explores the history and future of the African Diaspora. The movement emphasizes the power of imagination to create alternative narratives, often involving fantastical elements such as alien abductions, time travel, and futuristic societies. This approach not only critiques current social conditions but also envisions future possibilities, offering a unique perspective on the challenges and potentials of Black communities across time and space.

Objektpermanenz (Nora Hase), a Berlin native who has made Cologne their home since 2008, initially carved a career in logistics and event management. Embracing a shift in 2016, they turned to photography, pursuing it not just as a hobby but as a profound medium of artistic expression, and subsequently earned a degree in Photography in Cologne. Their work, which delves into the complexities of memory, identity, and queerness within diverse societies, has gained both national and international recognition through exhibitions and magazine publications.
Expanding their artistic horizon, Objektpermanenz has been integrating AI into their creative process, developing their own models to craft post-photographic visuals and AI-generated videos. This innovative approach has led to exhibitions in various cultural hubs, including Cologne, Paris, Barcelona, and New York, showcasing their dynamic digital photographic compositions. Through their art, they challenge and deconstruct the traditional notions of gender and heritage, offering a reflection of their evolving personal journey
