Afrofuturism integrates elements of time, space, and spirituality to create a unique narrative framework. It connects both the ancestral past and future possibilities of Black people, often incorporating spiritual aspects, as exemplified in the movie "Black Panther." Afrofuturist works commonly aim to confront and counteract harmful stereotypes and racist ideologies that originated in outdated pseudoscientific beliefs about race. These works also challenge overly simplistic, celebratory versions of history that often marginalize Black experiences and contributions.
