Cast is a still image by Panaviscope, part of the And So It Was series, a collection exploring narrative through single-frame compositions. The piece presents a detailed cityscape beneath a stylized cloud, marking a visual transition toward the mountains. With no characters, Cast focuses on the contrast between urban structure and elemental presence.
As one of Panaviscope’s first still images, the work marks an important moment in the artist’s aesthetic explorations. Combining models trained on previous works with ControlNet techniques and upscaling, Cast offers a richly textured world that invites introspection and narrative projection.

Panaviscope (a.k.a Alex Duloz) is a visual artist and multi-instrumentalist from Geneva, Switzerland, who composes, sings, and plays all the instruments you can hear on his tracks. Panaviscope is as much a visual project as it is a musical one, with a focus on evoking nostalgia for a fantasized era.
Alex studied arts in Los Angeles, where he trained in 3D, classical animation, and drawing. It was there that he learned coding, with a strong focus on generative code using JavaScript. His tracks have been played on national indie radios in France and Switzerland, among other countries.
Alex employs various cutting-edge techniques with the intention of creating timeless pieces, ranging from depth maps to granular synthesis.
