People Watching Things Burn is a stylized visual experiment by Panaviscope, marking a shift toward a new aesthetic paradigm in his work. Panaviscope (a.k.a Alex Duloz) is a visual artist and multi-instrumentalist from Geneva, Switzerland, who composes, sings, and plays all the instruments you can hear on his tracks. Panaviscope is as much a visual project as it is a musical one, with a focus on evoking nostalgia for a fantasized era.
Alex studied arts in Los Angeles, where he trained in 3D, classical animation, and drawing. It was there that he learned coding, with a strong focus on generative code using JavaScript. His tracks have been played on national indie radios in France and Switzerland, among other countries.
Alex employs various cutting-edge techniques with the intention of creating timeless pieces, ranging from depth maps to granular synthesis.
