About the artwork
Originally this started as a 'hide and seek prompt, "face behind a tree" but, leaning into the chaos of SD, I ended up putting the people into the trees. And concentrating on their breath, how they provide oxygen for the world.
"The breath in the trees are the souls of the felled. Exhaled, the wind releases the ancient spirits of the forest. Respiring flora, the lungs of the earth."
