This work was created for the 9th contest by Claire Silver, where it was selected as one of the finalists. It reflects on the strange loneliness of modern crowds. We are constantly connected, constantly surrounded by each other and yet: more and more people seem to exist in their own separate worlds. Using AI-generated imagery, the piece explores a culture where agreement has become easy, but real understanding feels increasingly rare. Voices overlap, faces blend together, everyone responds, but very little is truly shared. At its core, the work is not about technology itself, but about us: the way we move through each other, the way we adapt and the quiet hope that something human still survives beneath all the noise.
