About the artwork
We are an amusement park of unstable horizons, built from height, speed, dust, and repetition. Here, the movement is never only forward. It rises, drops, drifts sideways, circles, tilts, and flips, turning the fair into a field of constant reorientation.
The cameras move with that rhythm. They climb with the rides, descend back into the crowd, sweep horizontally across metal structures and faces, orbit the spinning machinery, and suddenly invert the world so the sky falls below and the ground hangs above. Every motion redraws the space: vertical lift, sharp drop, lateral glide, rotational turn, abrupt change of angle.
This is a place where movement becomes image and image becomes sensation. The cameras do not simply record the fair, they trace its accelerations, its interruptions, its unstable balance between thrill and disorientation. Come enter a space where every ascent, every sideways drift, and every spinning turn reshapes the way the day is seen.
Editor, curator, and internet artist. He studied Classical Literature at UNAM. His work focuses on exploring automated writing models, internet visual languages, and net art. He completed the 2016 Photography Production Seminar at the Centro de la Imagen and received the Mexican Foundation for Literature grant (2015-16). His work has been exhibited at Centro de la Imagen, Progreso Gallery, El Cuartelito, MUAC, the XIII FEMSA Biennial, Museo Carrillo Gil, the Visual Art Center at the University of Texas in Austin, UNAM’s El Aleph Festival, and Neort++ Gallery in Tokyo, Japan. His work is anthologized in the Electronic Literature Collection Volume 4. He has curated exhibitions at Galería Libertad, Museo de la Ciudad de Querétaro, Oaxaca Book Fair, The Wrong Biennale 2019-20, and Casa Equis.
He is an editor and programmer at the electronic literature publisher https://brokenenglish.lol/. An expert in digital culture, automatic writing, internet art, glitch art, and memes, he has published articles in PaperMag, Excelsior, Horizontal, Revista 404.Tierra Adentro, and Revista de la Universidad.
