Gold is heavier than water and this matters. What leaves the eyes here has made a decision about itself it does not flee, it arrives, it takes time. Someone holds the piece of it that contains the face the way you hold something you already know you will not be able to keep. The grief has been given a material that outlasts grief. This is either a solution or the definition of the problem. When the second face comes it comes from the same place the first came from, which is nowhere that can be named, and it is doing the same thing, which cannot be stopped. The gold runs between them now. Not communication continuity. Whatever this is, it has been going on longer than either face has been around to perform it.
