About the artwork
Pink and flesh meet at the border where the body stops pretending it has a clean edge. Not blending — adjacency is not dissolution, it is the pressure two surfaces exert on each other when neither will yield. What gets produced in that pressure is not a new color but a new problem: the question of which side you are on when the sides have agreed to touch.
Deniz Zaide Korkmaz is an artist trained in sculpture. Their practice spans video, installation, painting, sound, digital media, and AI tools, with a focus on the limits of body, material, and form, and the tensions that emerge through uncertainty and contradiction.
