ENCOUNTERS I have always felt that reality is thinner than it appears. Encounters is an ongoing series of AI video works shaped by that feeling. Among thousands of generated images, I look for the few that make me stop: somewhere unfamiliar that feels inhabited, something impossible that seems to belong. I follow those images into movement and sound. Sometimes everything changes in an instant. Sometimes we arrive after the world has already become strange. Life continues, and what first caught our attention becomes only part of what holds us there. The first eighteen works offered a single moment of contact. From the nineteenth, each Encounter brings together three fragments of one world. Their differences give it depth. What we glimpse in one returns differently in another, until the space between them begins to feel as real as the places we have seen. These worlds can be tender, unsettling, absurd. Their inhabitants have things to do. We arrive in the middle of something and leave without knowing its extent.
