Bodies Without Limits 2 continues the same concept as the first series, exploring human bodies that exceed their original boundaries through continuous transformation—expanding in shape, volume, structure, and color.
This time, the setting shifts from Japan to the United States. By placing the same process of bodily transformation within a different everyday environment, the series develops a slightly different visual atmosphere while maintaining the same underlying motif.
For the first few works, I also made some changes to the prompts. Rather than pushing the degree of transformation itself as far as possible, I placed more emphasis on the strangeness of the events taking place. The bodies still transform, but the focus shifts slightly toward situations in which something inexplicable and absurd seems to be happening before the transformation fully takes over.
As with the first Bodies Without Limits, the forms that emerge are not predetermined. The bodies continue to generate unexpected structures through the process itself, moving beyond familiar human anatomy toward something increasingly difficult to define.

I have always been obsessed with laughter, having written countless scripts for sketches and manzaicomedy—not as a performer, but as a writer. The performers would take my scripts and elevate them, interpreting them in ways that made the laughter shine brighter.

This vision could not be expressed through words, nor could it be performed by someone else. It belonged entirely to the realm of imagination—unrealizable, until now. In my restless search, the times gifted me with a remarkable technology. AI appeared before me as a new kind of performer.
