This series developed from essentially the same idea as my earlier “Magical Girl” series. The figure that causes abnormal transformations in other people has simply been changed from a magical girl to a clown.
The clown approaches people, and actions such as hitting, touching, or shooting them become triggers for bizarre changes in their bodies and surroundings.
In the Magical Girl series, much of the effect came from the contrast between a cute character and grotesque transformation. Here, because the clown is already unsettling from the beginning, the overall tone becomes more sinister and more strongly rooted in black comedy.

I have always been obsessed with laughter, having written countless scripts for sketches and manzaicomedy—not as a performer, but as a writer. The performers would take my scripts and elevate them, interpreting them in ways that made the laughter shine brighter.
Yet within me grew a desire to pursue something sharper, stranger—laughter so radical it might no longer even be laughter at all. Perhaps no one else would laugh, but it would be mine alone.
This vision could not be expressed through words, nor could it be performed by someone else. It belonged entirely to the realm of imagination—unrealizable, until now. In my restless search, the times gifted me with a remarkable technology. AI appeared before me as a new kind of performer.
