About the artwork
Lo Absurdo Libera is a surreal and absurd visual poem featuring my stock character, Silver Phantasma, who is often placed in bizarre scenarios to help me express ideas through AI, video art, and storytelling.
Not only is it a celebration of the Latin American countries participating in the 2026 World Cup, but it's also a reminder that freedom can be found in absurdity and play. This is why we see our character interacting with the soccer ball in unconventional ways and welcoming the unexpected as it unfolds around him.
The fried eggs and hairy legs add to the nonsense, as if the Silver Phantasma takes pride in what happens to him and what is already a part of him—the uncontrollable.
Los Absurd Libera is an exploration - that features absurd posing as a nod to Jumpology in photography, body expression within the confined space of theater, and high-contrast lighting inspired by German Expressionism and Caravaggio.
